Equipment Operator - Road & Bridge

Equipment OperatorResponsibilities include performing a variety of skilled, semi skilled,labor, maintenance and construction work involving the operation andmaintenance of light, medium, and heavy equipment including graders,backhoes, dozers, loaders and dump trucks.DUTIES:* Operate heavy equipment in servicing, maintaining, building and cleaningcounty roads and bridges, including basic maintenance of equipment.* Subject to non-restrictive call back 24 hours a day for situationsincluding, but not limited to, snow plowing, wild-land fires,floods, and other emergency or maintenance occurrences.* Maintain and comply with safety standards and required maintenance protocolat all times.REQUIREMENTS:* At least three (3) years' experience in safe driving of commercialtrucks and operating heavy equipment including but not limited to graders,backhoes, dozers, loaders, snow plows and dump trucks.* Class B CDL with ability to get a Class A OR ability to obtain a Class A CDLwithin 6 months of hire considered with desired experience* Combination of education and experience could waive specific requirementWAGE:* $20.00 to $22.00 hourly without CDL A* $21.00 to $23.10 hourly with a CDL ASHIFT: Full-time - 4o hours per weekJOB SITE: Delta County, COBENEFITS: County Paid Benefits (Health/ Disability Insurance,Retirement, Paid time-off, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Assistance Program)HOW TO APPLY:If you meet the minimum requirements for this position, please click on"How to Apply" to view application information.
