Location: Stationary at KennedySpace Center, FL 32815 Schedule: On-site, Sunday-Thursday, 7:00 AMto 3:30 PM Reporting to: Chief EngineerType of Employment:Full-Time w/JLL employee benefits within 1 month of employmentAdditional Perks: company provided & laundered uniforms, cellphone, laptop, and reimbursement for new shoes Pay for thisposition: $40.87 an hour The Electrician oversees the dailyoperation of the critical building electrical systems andassociated equipment. This will include electrical distribution,emergency systems, lighting, etc. Must be willing to work out oftrade when necessary to perform other work tasks, assist othertasks outside of the electrical field. Strong working knowledge ofnational electrical code. This position requires a high level oftechnical expertise with a variety of building infrastructure. Theindividual in this role must be available for on-call work.Off-hours shifts, evening, night and weekend work is required . Theposition may be called upon to perform other general maintenanceand support duties on an as-needed basis. What your day-to-day willlook like: Should be well versed in conduit installation, motor controlcircuitry, switch gear maintenance and cable termination Know how to read and interpret electrical prints and schematicdrawings Will be working with low and medium voltages safelyutilizing the proper test and measurement equipment Strong electrical troubleshoot and controls knowledge Knowledge of VFDs, controllers, and associated systems Strong knowledge of lighting systems, UPSs, and generators Must have knowledge and understanding of 24, 48, 120, and480-volt electrical systems Must have knowledge of industrial Electrical and Instrumentsystems Must be capable in utilizing and operating tools and equipmentassociated with craft discipline Must demonstrate the ability to comprehend and recognize alljob-related work permits and complete Job Hazard Analysis Must be able to perform work wearing personnel protectiveequipment if necessary . Including but not limited to thefollowing: rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied airand air purifying respirators, safety harness, sand blast hoods,flame retardant coveralls, flash suit with gloves and hood, hardhat, ear plugs, and safety glasses. Must be able to work in high places (not afraid of heights) andwork in confined spaces if need be comply with policies for the safe storage, usage and disposalof hazardous materials. Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances,Codes, or Laws. Document work performance and materials procurement, asdirected. Any and all other tasks and duties assigned. Physical JobRequirements: Ability to lift, bend, and move in such a way as to perform jobtasks in a safe and approved manner. Must be able to lift50lbs. Skilled and physically able to operate electric hand tools,work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, operaterequired equipment. Subject to 24-hour availability and may be required to work inall weather conditions Environmental conditions will vary based on the job beingperformed. Work may take place in either the maintenance shopand/or throughout the building depending upon the job requirements.Must be capable of working outdoors in all types of weatherconditions. Must provide proof of US Citizenship: Due to federal government regulations pertaining to securedareas on-site, candidates applying for the position must be able toprovide proof of US Citizenship. This requirement ensurescompliance with legal and security mandates. All applicants mustpossess a valid form of identification that confirms their UScitizenship status. Required Skills andExperience: High School diploma/GED required Journeymen's Electrical License with 5+ years of havinglicense, An 01, 07, or 06A Electrical license is desirable Must be located in the Palm Bay-Melbourne-Titusville area(relocation assistance is not available for this role) Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license & areliable vehicle Must have relevant work experience, preventive & correctivemaintenance of commercial &/or industrialbuildings/equipment. Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel,Teams) Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management System(CMMS) &/or Building Management System (BMS) Must have adequate skills to perform required job functionswith minimal supervision Able to work in a customer service environment interacting withthe client. Team player with good interpersonal skills Conflict resolution skills.
