Senior Electrical Engineer Location: Chantilly, VA Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 Senior Electrical Engineer We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team: The Senior Electrical Engineer provides electrical design expertise and leadership for the entire project, from initial survey through final inspection. This individual serves as the electrical discipline team leader, directing other engineers and designers as required. Typical duties include writing technical reports, performing calculations, selecting equipment, and designing lighting, power, fire alarm, security, and telecom/data systems. Responsibilities: Act as the primary point of contact for electrical-related project issues Complete projects from start to finish with minimal supervision Conduct surveys of existing conditions Write technical reports Perform calculations, select equipment, and design systems (lighting, power, fire alarm, and telecom/data systems) Prepare project specifications Respond to Requests for Information during bidding and construction Review construction submittals Conduct and document final inspections Generate As-Built drawings Ensure all project work is completed on schedule and within budget Perform quality control reviews on assigned projects as directed by the department head Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Revit, AGI32, and SKM Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) 10+ years of experience in design and specification of: lighting systems, power systems, fire alarm systems, telecom/data systems, medium voltage power systems, UPS systems, emergency generator systems, grounding systems, and utility systems Extensive experience with renovation and new construction projects in commercial, government, or institutional settings Preferred Qualifications: Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance Construction Document Technologist (CDT) certification from the Construction Specifications Institute LEED Accredited Professional certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
