Automotive Equipment Installer

Position Overview: We are seeking a Vehicle Upfitter/Installer to join our Phoenix shop. You'll install and wire specialized equipment in a variety of vehicles, from emergency response units to rugged utility trucks. If you're mechanically inclined, love working with your hands, and are ready to build something great, this is the opportunity for you. Key Responsibilities: Install and wire aftermarket vehicle equipment (lights, sirens, radios, GPS, specialty accessories). Modify and customize interiors and exteriors to client specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents. Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively. Ensure all electrical connections meet safety and quality standards. Test, troubleshoot, and verify system functionality after installation. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workspace. Diagnose and repair upfitted systems as needed. Communicate clearly with supervisors, team members, and clients. Document installations and completed work accurately. Qualifications: Strong mechanical and electrical skills. Familiarity with 12V systems (soldering, crimping, proper grounding). Ability to read and follow wiring diagrams and technical instructions. Skilled with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment. Detail-oriented with a focus on craftsmanship and safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, kneeling, bending) throughout the day. Preferred but not required: Experience in emergency vehicle upfitting (police, fire, EMS). Certifications such as ASE, EVT, or MECP. Welding or fabrication experience.
