Job Description

ASSISTING THE MILL SUPERVISOR WITH ALL DUTIES REQUIRED; SUPERVISE THE MILL SHIFT WHEN THE MILL SUPERVISOR IS OUT; PERFORM MAINTENANCE ON EQUIPMENT; COMMUNICATE WITH OTHER SUPERVISORS ON DAY-TO-DAY BASIS;FILL IN FOR CONTROL ROOM OPERATIONS; FILL OUT ACCIDENT REPORTS WHEN INJURY HAPPENS; CHECK WITH OTHER SUPERVISORS ON DAY-TO-DAY PRODUCTION FOR THAT DAY; FILL IN FOR SUPERVISOR WHEN THEY ARE IN MEETINGS OR WHEN THEY ARE ABSENT; HAVE GOOD ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS; GOOD PEOPLE SKILLS, COMMUNICATING WITH EMPLOYEES AND SUPERVISORS;

Job Duties

Bacic computer knowledge recommended but not required- Excel, Word

Must be able to communicate with employees using verbal and written communication.

Must be able to walk, climb ladders & stairs, move arms to operate equipment, bend, stoop, kneel.

Must be able to lift and carry 10-50 pounds 5 to 500 feet.

Must be able to reach above head or shoulders.

Must be able to see close distances 3-10 feet.

Must be able to pass the forklift certification.

Must be able to pass the forklift eye exam with or without correction.

Maintenance and Machine Operations required.

***Other duties as assigned by manager

Education Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)and one to three months related experience and/or training.
