In Thermal Management MAHLE is one of the world's leading original equipment manufacturers today, developing cooling and air conditioning systems as well as complete thermal management solutions not only for passenger cars and commercial vehicles but also for various mobile and stationary off-highway applications. To increase the efficiency and service life of engines, as well as to reduce emissions, MAHLE manufactures filters and pump systems as well as oil coolers for engine and transmission applications. This way we ensure clean air and prevent contamination in oil and fuel that can damage the engine. Clean supply air is also extremely important for the smooth operation of fuel cells. Your Contribution As MAHLE's Project Manager you will be self-directed, responsible for planning and leading a cross-discipline team in new product launch and VAVE/CI initiatives. The Project Manager is detail oriented and brings resources together to function as a team to successfully deliver the project goals on-time, provide focus to minimize scope creep, operate within budget, and launch the product meeting cost targets, while following MAHLE's goals and vision. Along with preparing status reports that monitor the progress of the team and keep stakeholders informed, you shall interface with the customer and be proactive in the identification of advanced engineering opportunities to maintain MAHLE's business unit's vision as a leader in the thermal management market. * Translates customer/company "wants" into technical features and/or objectives * Prepare and manage the project plan and budget based on scope of work and resource requirements. * Participates in realization of product definition (design specification). * Leads and participates in DFMEA and PFMEA activities. * Oversees Design Validation Plan and Report (DVP & R) as created by Design, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering that the component and module levels of assembly during the design, prototyping and pre-series pilot phases of the product meets its design specifications and/or performance requirements. * Works with Design Engineering in utilization of computation tools (BIS) for thermal and fluid simulations, analyzing test data and troubleshooting design issues where necessary * Identifies elements of parts list as in-house or external produced and supports supplier selection decisions. * Works with Quality Engineering in outside supplier "black box" component development activities in coordination with Purchasing to ensure quality, reliability, cost, and timing requirements are achieved. * Confirms Manufacturing Engineering is successfully interfacing with the Technical Team to ensure a smooth and successful launch * Maintains project cost tracking. * Leads project team through the project maturity levels. * Participates in component and end item PPAP resolutions. * Required to make technical presentations to the customer as needed. Your Experience & Qualifications * Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in engineering * 5 plus years' experience in project management * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification * Product Owner certification * SAP * CATIA V5 and/or HiCAD Our Offer We will provide a collaborative environment working on exciting assignments, along with ongoing personal & career development opportunities.
