Summary

The role of the Field Engineer Intern is dynamic and integral to the successful execution and delivery of solar construction projects. The ideal candidate will assist with all miscellaneous project needs from logistics, inspections, tool management, drawing review, superintendent support etc. This position requires an agile and proactive approach to support project-based personnel and craft trades, ensuring technical, material, and administrative tasks align with Qcells' project delivery standards of excellence.This position is expected to travel up to 25%.

This position reports to the Construction Engineer, or another management personnel that the CEO of the Company may designate. This is hybrid, working from your home and the jobsites, working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm local time. Overtime and weekend working hours will be required as needed. This position is expected to travel up to 100%.

Essential Job Function & Responsibilities

Project Coordination and Compliance: Assist in coordinating engineering requests and material procurement for trade requirements, ensuring alignment with project timelines.

Communication and Documentation: Support the creation and management of technical reports and drawings, maintaining accurate project records.

Operational Support: Aid superintendents with daily timekeeping, schedule monitoring, and quality control checks using tools like AutoCAD or GIS.

Safety and Sustainability: Participate in safety audits and job hazard analyses, contributing to environmental compliance and sustainable construction practices.

Innovation Support: Assist in exploring robotics and standardization techniques to enhance project execution, reflecting Qcells' leadership in solar innovation.

Team Collaboration: Engage with project teams and third-party stakeholders, providing support and learning from experienced professionals.

Required Qualifications

Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Sophomore or Junior standing preferred).

Experience with data analysis (managing, analyzing and visualizing large datasets), and proficiency in python programming language and relevant libraries a plus.

Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with AutoCAD, GIS, or similar tools is a plus.

Strong communication and multitasking abilities; eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to travel full-time to job sites and work outdoors; valid driver's license preferred.

Interest in solar mega projects, sustainable energy, or construction innovation (e.g., robotics, standardization).

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, fluent in English.

SALARY RANGE FOR POSITION

Theanticipatedstartingpayrange of this position, which is tobelocatedinCity, State. The pay is only displayed for City, Stateis$- $ per hour ORbase salary per year.
