This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing codes, the ability to read blueprints and schematics, and proficiency in various plumbing techniques. As a Journeyman Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Your own fully stocked truck. Your Role, What You'll Do: Handle service calls for residential and light commercial plumbing; Diagnose, repair, and install all kinds of plumbing systems; Use ServiceTitan to manage your jobs and earn bonuses through smart upsells; Work independently or lead apprentices on site Perform plumbing repairs, installations, and maintenance (residential & light commercial) Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues efficiently and effectively, with little to no help Work independently or lead small crews Provide excellent customer service and clear communication; Provide clean, clear, honest service that earns customer trust Use ServiceTitan (or similar software) to manage jobs, schedules, and invoicing Ability to sell jobs and upsell services in the field, Upsell smart, add value, and earn more Mentor apprentices and collaborate with the team Qualifications: Journeyman Plumbing License in Michigan (required) Are clean-cut, reliable, and serious about your craft Thrive in a lead role and enjoy being trusted to run work Want more than a job you want a stake in something real 3-5 years of maintenance, service and repair plumbing experience, with strong troubleshooting skills (required) 1-3 years of construction (preferred) Proficiency with ServiceTitan (preferred) Valid driver's license with a clean record (required) Required Skills: Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving a variety of plumbing issues Proficiency with ServiceTitan or similar field service management software (preferred) Ability to perform high-quality installations, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems Comfortable working independently , managing job sites, and ensuring cleanliness and organization Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations Ability to lift and carry tools and materials on a daily basis Technical Skills: Pipe Installation & Repair: Ability to install, repair, and maintain various types of piping systems (e.g., PVC, copper, PEX, galvanized, Cast Iron) Fixture & Appliance Installation: Proficient in installing and servicing plumbing fixtures (e.g., sinks, faucets, toilets, water heaters) Pipe Soldering & Brazing: Skilled in soldering copper pipes and using other techniques for joining metals Threading & Fitting Pipes: Experience with threading and fitting pipes for various plumbing systems Leak Detection & Repair: Skilled in identifying leaks and resolving issues quickly and efficiently Drain Inspection, Cleaning, Snaking/Cabling, and Jetting: Proficient in using drain cleaning tools and machines (e.g., augers, hydro-jetters) Water Heater Installation & Repair: Knowledge of installing and servicing traditional and tankless water heaters Why Fathom Plumbing?
