Construction Estimator
We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our client's team a small, family-owned, and well-established business in Landisville, PA. This role combines in-office estimating, administrative support, and general office tasks. If you are proactive, organized, and committed to improving business performance, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
In-Office Estimating Tasks: Perform take-offs, proposals, and submittals; organize electronic files efficiently and seek guidance when needed.
Bid Tracking: Track bids using spreadsheets or other software; submit monthly or quarterly reports (client names, project details, bid amounts, etc.).
Project Analysis: Analyze project costs, billings, and net profit in QuickBooks; report any discrepancies.
Sales Support: Add a personable, professional tone to proposals and customer communications.
Site Verification: Potential for a car benefit once experienced; mileage reimbursed for attending marketing events (e.g., chamber, rotary, ABC).
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of estimating experience is required
Experience in trades such as landscaping, concrete, or construction is a plus
Existing working relationships with General Contractors strongly preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
Expectations:
Maintain professionalism and accuracy in all tasks to support business success.
Collaborate effectively with the team and contribute to a positive company culture.
Comfortable working at a desk and computer for extended periods.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Job Type: Temp-to-Perm
Pay Rate: $24-$30/hr. (DOE)
Hours: Part-Time or Full-Time; Mon.-Fri.
