Job Summary:
BCM is seeking General Laborers for job site clean-up and other miscellaneous general labor tasks, which may include assisting carpenters.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Maintenance: Maintain a consistently clean and organized job site, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
Debris Management: Efficiently discard trash, perform cartage of debris, and manage on-site material scrapping.
Material Handling: Organize and manage job site materials, ensuring they are stored correctly and accessible. Assist with the delivery and distribution of materials as needed.
Trade Support: Provide direct assistance to carpenters, framers, and other skilled trades as required, including carrying materials, preparing work areas, and performing general support tasks.
Tool & Equipment Care: Assist in the proper handling, cleaning, and basic maintenance of tools and equipment.
Safety Adherence: Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as relevant OSHA regulations.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a construction laborer role is preferred, particularly within a residential setting.
Demonstrated physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and perform demanding physical tasks consistently.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality are essential.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately and efficiently.
Basic understanding of construction site safety practices.
Possession of a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to evolving project needs.
Reliable transportation is mandatory, with the ability to commute daily to job sites in Malibu and the greater Los Angeles area.
Availability to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
