MIG/TIG Welder - Structural Shift: 1st & 2nd Shift available 1st shift ( 4am-12pm / 2pm with overtime ). 2nd shift ( 2pm-10pm / 12am with overtime ) Pay: $21/hr Location: Ocala, FL (34474) Position Type: Contract-to-hire Description: As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for performing structural production welding on carbon steel components. Your day will begin at your welding station, where you will weld a variety of parts, clean weld splatter, and maintain a tidy workspace. This role involves MIG welding in a 1G position and may require lifting parts over 50 pounds, with crane assistance available for heavier items. MIG and TIG welders will be welding I-beams and hand rails. The welders will do MIG and/or TIG on aluminum. They will do MIG on carbon steel. They will do TIG on stainless steel. This will be structural production welding. Key Responsibilities: Perform MIG welding on carbon steel parts in a 1G position. Clean weld splatter and maintain weld quality. Lift and position parts on the welding table (some over 50 lbs). Use cranes for handling heavier components. Clean and organize the workstation at the end of each shift. Work with a variety of parts including: Gambit arms (for power line poles) Ventilation hoods Railings and staircases Round base plates for power poles Required Skills: MIG welding (GMAW) on steel Structural welding experience Ability to pass a visual 1G structural welding test Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy parts Top Skills: MIG welding Structural steel fabrication Flux core welding (FCAW) experience is a plus Work Environment: Non climate controlled Required PPE: Steel toed boots Welding Hood Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
