Job Description Senior Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading the design, development, and optimization of mechanical components and systems for medical devices.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory to bring products from concept to commercialization.
  • Creating and reviewing detailed 3D models, drawings, and specifications using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo).
  • Conducting engineering analyses, including tolerance stack-ups, FEA, and DFMEA to ensure design robustness and reliability.
  • Testing prototypes, analyzing data, and implementing design improvements to meet technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Guiding design reviews and providing technical input throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Supporting root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions for product or process issues.
  • Managing project timelines and deliverables while maintaining compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Mentoring and coaching junior engineers to support professional growth and technical development.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the medical device, aerospace, or high-precision manufacturing industries.
  • Proficient in 3D CAD modeling and drafting (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo).
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience conducting design validation and verification activities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a track record of collaborating across disciplines.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA QSR).
