Construction Manager

A Construction Manager is needed for a leader in the world of Technical Services and Engineering in the Springfield, MA area. This role is responsible for overseeing construction contractors on substation and transmission projects, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, compliance, and quality while coordinating across internal teams, stakeholders, and field activities.

responsibilities:

• Oversee construction contractors on electrical substation and transmission projects.
  
  
• Accountable for safe execution of all work, enforce and promote safety practices and investigations.
  
  
• Monitor and report on schedule, cost, safety, environmental compliance, and project progress.
  
  
• Manage contract field construction and maintenance at transmission and distribution facilities.
  
  
• Coordinate internal and external resources supporting project construction.
  
  
• Identify and report any deviations related to design, schedule, budget, or compliance.
  
  
• Review design documents to ensure constructability and scheduling alignment.
  
  
• Confirm contractor adherence to client procedures, safety, and project specifications.
  
  
• Monitor procurement issues and ensure timely material delivery to construction sites.
  
  
• Conduct construction management briefings, prepare reports on schedule, cost, and risks.
  
  
• Review/approve contractor timesheets, invoices, and change orders.

Experience:

• Construction management experience with substation and transmission projects.
  
  
• Ability to hold clearances (red tags) is a plus.
