Salary Range: $51.403 To $68.885 Hourly

THE POSITION:
Under general direction of the District Engineer, makes field inspections of a variety of construction projects including pipelines, pumping stations, laterals, and capital improvement projects to ensure conformance with plans, specifications, and District regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:
The applicant should be able to successfully perform the full duties and meet the qualifications contained in the job description for this position, available at oroloma.org/employment. Examples of duties include: inspect materials and workmanship for conformance with specifications; interpret and enforce construction plans and specifications; record materials used and work performed for progress payments; inspect all phases of construction of District development projects; other related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Any combination of education and experience, which would provide the required knowledge and abilities, is qualifying.
Three years of increasingly responsible experience involving construction, construction planning, or construction inspection for a private contractor, municipal agency, or engineering consultant involved in significant municipal engineering; and/or three years of increasingly responsible experience involving Collection System or Treatment Plant operations; and, equivalent to the completion of 12th grade supplemented by coursework related to the job requirements.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Possession of a valid California drivers license and a motor vehicle record that meets the Districts driving standard; and, possession of an inspection certificate issued by a professional organization (e.g. Coating Inspector, Concrete Inspector, Soils Compaction Inspector).
