Join VHBs Raleigh NC Office as a Civil Engineer/Designer to help grow their expanding and innovative Land Development and Planning and Design team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team, across diverse disciplines, giving you exposure to a wide variety of projects in size and scope. Our clients include mixed-use, biotech, residential, multifamily, affordable housing, industrial, and hospitality developers.

VHBs Land Development Team is seeking passionate professionals to join our team supporting impactful projects like the Birch and Branch Apartments in Southeast Raleigha 180-unit affordable housing development. We're addressing key infrastructure and environmental challenges to help bring this community-focused project to life. Responsibilities

  • Work within a team of professionals in developing site civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of land development projects.
  • Develop engineering plans and specifications in a team environment for a multitude of projects
  • Train and mentor junior staff on technical aspects and policies

Skills and Attributes

  • Willingness to learn implementation of integrated services projects in a team with multidisciplinary skills.
  • Knowledge of land development construction including codes and development regulations
  • Innovative design skills to develop solutions to complex projects.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering or related degree
  • Minimum 1-3 years of increasing engineering experience
  • EIT licensure peferred or have passed the FE Exam
  • Proficient in the following: AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, MS Office.
  • Experience in developing and compiling/producing site plans, construction documents, specifications, and engineering reports
  • Experience with GIS Systems is a plus GIS is one of the tools we use to create better projects.
