Type: Direct-Hire Permanent Opportunity
Compensation: $33.00-$45.00 hourly
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 8:30 AM-5:00 PM | Monday-Friday

Job Summary:

R&D Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and refine wiring diagrams and Bills of Materials to create manufacturable and serviceable arcade game prototypes.
- Design wiring harnesses, control/display layouts, and PCB hardware at the chip level.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve electrical, mechanical, and aesthetic issues.
- Develop test fixtures and assist programmers with pass/fail test flows.
- Train manufacturing staff on assembly and testing procedures, support QA in defining performance standards, and guide technicians in servicing new products.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies (ETL/UL) for game certification.
R&D Electrical Engineer Job Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
- 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering, ideally in the gaming or amusement industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Proficient in creating, reading, and correcting wiring diagrams and Bills of Materials
- Experience designing wiring harnesses and layout of control/display components for arcade-style games
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical influences on game systems, with the ability to address them in design
- Skilled in debugging and optimizing system performance
- Knowledge of ETL/UL certification standards for electronic devices
- Effective communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with Altium or similar PCB design software
