Position Overview
Coordinate and maintain the overall construction schedule with input from the Project Managers and Management team. Assist in the oversight of the construction crews and ensure that crews have the appropriate manpower and tools in place to maintain project budgets and production goals. Will have responsibility for more than one project at a time.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
Partner with on-site Superintendents to ensure projects are built on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
Monitor overall safety of employees on the project
Coordinate materials, trucking, and subcontractor work as needed.
Represent the company in project meetings as needed/assigned; assist in planning meetings, etc.
Assume additional responsibilities as directed by the Operations Manager.
Education/Experience
Construction Management Degree or equivalent
Work Requirements
Regular work attendance is a requirement for this position
Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management required
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities is vital.
Superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential
Business Acumen; Decision Quality; Managing and Measuring Work; Drive for Results
P6 scheduling experience preferred
Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
Knowledge of Bid 2 Win and Heavy Bid preferred
TXDOT traffic control/safety standards knowledge preferred

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Requires the following motions on occasion: bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, reaching, fine motor, repetitive motion.
Requires the following motions frequently: standing, walking, sitting
Requires the following lifting:
0-100lbs occasionally
This position will be based out of a division, branch, or project office
May require exposure to extreme temperatures, both hot and cold
Will require exposure to dust and dirt
