Job Title: Project Coordinator - Utility Projects

Job Description

Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Coordinator to lead complex utility projects from initiation through closeout. These projects encompass low voltage distribution work, both overhead and underground. The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects within scope, schedule, and budget expectations. This position offers a hybrid work schedule with opportunities to work from various locations, including Grand Rapids, Lansing and Kalamazoo.

Responsibilities

• Leading all phases of project management: planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure project execution.
• Track and manage project budgets, schedules, and risks.
• Prepare status reports, forecasts, and presentations for clients and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and industry standards.
• Mentor and support project team members including coordinators and field staff

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience related to utility work, including LVD, Substation, Transmission, Nat Gas, and underground utility.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or General Business
• 5+ years of project management and utility experience
• PMP certification or equivalent preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines

Work Environment

This role offers a hybrid work schedule with initial office-based work, transitioning to a consistent hybrid model. Work locations include Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids and Lansing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.08/hr.
