Construction Inspector
Job Description

We are seeking dedicated construction testing professionals to join our team, providing essential construction materials testing for engineering projects throughout Greater Philadelphia and the surrounding area. This role involves traveling to various sites with specialized equipment to conduct multiple types of construction material testing, primarily focusing on concrete.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections at various construction sites.
  • Perform concrete materials testing for construction projects and concrete pours.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Execute Nuclear Gauge Testing to assess material density.
Essential Skills
  • 0-2 years of experience in construction materials testing and/or construction.
  • Knowledge of nuclear density gauge safety, handling, operation, and transportation.
  • Certification as an American Concrete Institute (ACI) Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade 1.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a drug test.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in construction inspection, concrete testing, and fieldwork.
  • Familiarity with ACI, ICC, and sampling techniques.
Work Environment

Our construction inspectors work at various construction sites, providing testing for construction materials. The position entails a 40-hour workweek, with occasional night shifts as the weather warms. Standard working hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Inspectors are expected to wear work boots, jeans, and a button-up shirt. This role involves independent work, with daily travel to sites. Inspectors may need to pick up Nuclear Gauge equipment before their shift if they do not have their own. The position offers a long-term opportunity to gain experience in the Engineering/Construction industry, with potential for career advancement and additional certifications. Benefits include reimbursement for travel expenses, six major holidays, and one week of accrued PTO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
