Job Description
JA Bertsch is in search of a Warehouse Clerk to join our Home Team!
We are searching for an individual that is detailed oriented, thorough, timely, someone with a positive attitude who is a team player.
Pay: From $20+ an hour DOE
Hours: Full Time: Monday through Friday 6:30am-3:30pm
Job Responsibilities:
Be proactive in the upkeep and cleanliness of the shop/warehouse with equipment, deliveries, etc.
Parts Runner- (Deliver parts as needed for installation crews and service technicians.)
Vendor Supply Retrieval (Order and pick up parts as needed.)
Some shipping and receiving involved.
Help to ensure that the company generates the budgeted gross margin by purchasing equipment and parts at the lowest prices (while taking into consideration the cost of time lapsed by research).
Making sure that all purchases have a purchase order and are properly marked as to which department they should be charged to.
Arrange for efficient deliveries of parts and equipment to installers and technicians. An installer or technician should go to the supply house only as a last resort. Work closely with dispatch and Install Dept. Manager, making every possible effort to keep them on the job working and not picking up parts.
Replenishing the truck stock. Do not have technicians or installers make unnecessary trips for stocking, but instead, plan it around their dispatch schedule.
Work with supply houses on consignment inventory to make sure that the shop has all standard stock installation and service parts.
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse
Working with and communicate company needs to the vendor representatives.
Attend meetings as needed
Process all warranty parts and warranty labor credits quickly. Following through to make sure that the company receives the credit quickly.
Groundskeeper: Maintain exterior of the building and yard (sweep, shovel, mow, plow etc.)
Breakdowns (Disassembling of old units and appropriately discarding of parts.)
Keep inventory as needed (would be assigned by the General Manager).
Adhere to and display the Mission Statement, Vision Statement and Core Values.
