Senior Estimator

NOW HIRING: SENIOR ESTIMATOR FULL-TIME | OAHU-BASED GENERAL CONTRACTOR

Were looking for a Senior Estimator to join our dynamic estimating team and take the lead on producing accurate, competitive, and qualified bids for commercial and civil construction projects across Hawaii. We are looking to hire ASAP!

POSITION OVERVIEW:
As our Senior Estimator, youll be a key player in our preconstruction teamresponsible for preparing bid packages, performing take-offs, qualifying subcontractor quotes, and assembling full estimate proposals. You'll work closely with our Lead Estimator and Director of Project Controls to review specifications, identify scope gaps, and support successful project hand-offs.

WHAT YOULL BE DOING:

Review and interpret project plans and specifications
Participate in pre-bid walk-throughs and site visits
Develop bid scope narratives and project-specific Schedule of Values (SOV)
Coordinate RFQs, collect and evaluate subcontractor quotes
Perform detailed quantity take-offs and labor estimates for self-performed work
Estimate general conditions and support construction schedule development
Draft bid qualification proposals and ensure all bid documents are complete and submitted on time
Maintain organized estimating files and quote archives
Support hand-off meetings for awarded projects
Collaborate with PMs, field teams, and clients throughout the bidding process

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree in engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent work experience.
710 years of experience in construction, estimating, or project management
Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Familiarity with procurement practices, contract law, and construction finance
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with accurate recordkeeping
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Experience with takeoff software such as On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, e-Takeoff, or Plan swift.
Experience with estimating platforms such as Sage Estimating, HCSS, or Win-Est
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Valid Drivers License required

Salary is 120k to 140k doe
