HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

Overview: Join our team as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of diverse heavy machinery and generators. You'll focus on preventive maintenance of our vehicle fleet and have access to Oculus X for remote video assistance using advanced customized glasses, if necessary. No work transfers required, and personalized career plans include international training opportunities in Italy or France.

Position Details:

  • Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic
  • Reporting to: Maintenance Manager

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct maintenance through precise equipment inspections utilizing designated checklists.
  • Demonstrate expertise in diesel engine, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
  • Troubleshoot numerous heavy equipment such as forklifts, trucks, and wheel loaders.
  • Interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Utilize computer maintenance programs for part charging and equipment service tracking.
  • Read and interpret parts and service manuals as needed.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years as a mechanic focusing on heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical, drive train, engine, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with diagnostic software is advantageous.
  • Proven track record with various heavy equipment brands like Cat, Hyster, Ottawa, Terberg, and John Deere.

Education:

  • High School diploma (or equivalent).
  • Relevant certifications or training in Electrical/Mechanical fields are beneficial.

  • Profound knowledge of electrical systems.
