About the Role

As a Senior Construction Laborer / Site Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of citywide parks and sidewalk reconstruction projects. You'll be the key on-site leader-ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency across multiple locations each day. From tree planting to concrete restoration, you'll help bring NYC's green spaces and infrastructure to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise up to 10 job sites per day related to city sidewalk and tree health reconstruction
• Manage and coordinate small and large contractors both on the street and in park environments
• Enforce safety standards and ensure all workers use PPE
• Review contract line items and track compliance
• Oversee tasks including saw cutting, excavation, planting, and concrete restoration
• Coordinate closely with Project Manager and meet with Superintendent on-site by 7 AM
• Maintain accurate daily field reports and measure pay items based on completed work
• Ensure all work is conducted at ground level-no climbing or active roadway work

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in construction oversight or site supervision
• Strong communication skills-both verbal and written
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• MUST HAVE a personal vehicle and valid driver's license

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NYC Parks or municipal infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with plant species and landscaping techniques
• Background in civil or site work such as excavation and concrete
• Previous experience working with landscape contractors

Work Environment & Schedule

• Locations throughout the 5 boroughs-usually concentrated in one
• Standard hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Outdoor, field-based work in all seasons

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
