Summary:
Project Engineer responsible for assisting the Program Manager in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and managing all project activities, staff, and customer interactions.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Physics with 7+ years of applicable experience in Project Engineering/Project Management (3+ years in Project Management), or a Masters degree with 5+ years of experience
Successful experience in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and executing projects to meet cost, schedule, and performance objectives
Ability to adjust scope and schedule based on user feedback and new requirements
Must have or be able to obtain a US Government secret clearance (US citizenship required)
Willing to travel approximately 10-20%
Preferred Skills:
DoD Secret or higher security clearance
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience with Agile project management
Design for manufacturing experience
Strong understanding of Systems Engineering
Experience with iterative design and development methodologies
Job Responsibilities:
Assist the Program Manager with planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quantitative management of all project activities
Develop and maintain program plans and management baselines
Collaborate with Lead Systems and Software Engineers to maintain the technical approach and development process
Conduct customer reviews and advocate for customer issues, both technical and programmatic
Manage program staffing, resources, organizational interfaces, and task scope
Develop and conduct monthly engineering status reviews with program management and leadership
