Responsible for preparing, positioning, and securing materials for Electron Beam (EB) welding, performing quality inspections, troubleshooting machine issues, and maintaining equipment to meet production standards. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum one year of GTAW or TIG welding experience (Aerospace industry experience preferred but not required)
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Knowledge and hands-on experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and databases
Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification
Availability to work overtime or any shift, including weekends
Preferred Skills Experience working with various materials, including steel, copper, aluminum, titanium, Inconel, and other precious metals
Familiarity with EB welding processes and machine operation
Ability to interpret and follow customer specifications and technical instructions
Understanding of quality control procedures and use of precision instruments such as micrometers
Job Responsibilities Clean and prepare detail materials for EB weld processing
Position and secure workpieces onto holding fixtures
Align and fasten fixtures, attachments, and accessories onto machines
Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications
Prepare and analyze weld specimens to determine weld characteristics and adjust weld settings with assistance from QC personnel and EB Supervisor
Monitor and listen to machines to diagnose malfunctions and determine necessary adjustments or repairs
Perform basic machine maintenance to maintain part quality and production standards
Perform troubleshooting and technical assistance tasks as assigned by the EB Supervisor
Operate all in-house welding equipment
Maintain records and document in-process inspection data as required
Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter
Report irregularities to the Leadperson and adhere to safety and housekeeping practices
Handle and process customer inventory safely and responsibly to prevent loss or damage
Work in accordance with Environmental Management System (EMS) requirements
Perform additional tasks as assigned or dictated by position needs
