House Mechanic

The House Mechanic performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on buildings, mechanical equipment, and utility systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Performs minor and major repairs of all buildings and equipment

Replaces broken windows; repairs doors, door locks, and closets; installs window blinds

Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required

Repairs electrical equipment and control circuits; replaces faulty electrical switches; repairs refrigeration equipment

Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures

Performs routine plumbing repairs such as unstopping toilets, sinks, or urinals, and fixing water leaks, leaking faucets, and water fountains

Managers may assign other duties

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience is preferred

Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching

Can safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds
