Senior Civil Engineer

Requirements : BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution. Registered professional engineer is a plus, with the ability to obtain licenses in other states through reciprocity Good written and oral communication skills. Strong technical skills, analytical ability, and attention to detail Familiarity with typical software used in civil engineering (AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Navisworks, MS 365, MS Project) Must be able to develop creative and practical solutions for the unique problems in industry Collaborate on best solutions for layout and support, access, future expansion Self-motivated individual showing the ability to enthusiastically work in the multidiscipline team setting Interested in seeking continuous improvement of personal and team skill-set Job Description : Prepare technical writing for incorporation into reports and proposals Understand and incorporate local, state, and federal land use and environmental laws and requirements relative to civil engineering projects Perform site/civil land development engineering and permitting Typical designs include roadways and pavement (concrete and asphalt), minor channelization, grading, survey incorporation, stormwater management, underground structures (e.g., vaults, utilities, HDD, and railroad spur layouts Manage or support the project manager with subcontracted vendors (e.g., surveyors, 3D scanners, rail specialists, HDD specialists, natural resources/permitting specialists, geotechnical engineers) Estimate costs for civil engineering and design scopes of work. Estimate contractor costs for civil engineering designs at a high level for total installed cost estimates Interact with and present to municipal agencies Work closely with and assist other engineering disciplines in support of projects Ability to travel approximately 10-25% of the time throughout the Pacific Northwest and nationally
