We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and equipment
Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of HVAC systems
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications
Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and safety regulations
Respond to emergency calls and provide timely solutions
Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used
Communicate effectively with clients and team members
Stay updated on the latest HVAC technologies and best practices
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or associate's degree in HVAC technology preferred
Valid HVAC license and e.g., EPA Section 608 Universal Certification
3+ years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including heat pumps, boilers, and refrigeration units
Proficiency in using various hand and power tools
Ability to read and understand technical documents and schematics
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and customer service skills
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces
Work Environment:
Full-time position with occasional overtime and on-call duties
Work in various settings including residential homes, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities
May involve working in extreme temperatures and weather conditions
