We are currently seeking a detail oriented Purchasing Agent for our team! The Purchasing Agent will support the purchasing and construction departments to deliver quality homes on time and within budget. This position will ensure that all trade partners are in compliance with Omega Builders vendor requirements and are contracted to perform their scope of work at a competitive price that meets Omega Builders schedule and quality standards.

Essential Duties

Adheres to purchasing policies, processes and procedures.

Analyzes and maintains trade partner bids.

Builds and maintains strong working relationships with trade partners.

Pre-qualify trade partners and solicit bids.

Prepare direct cost analysis and variances for review.

Execute lot starts and final proof all unit costs.

Set up new vendor and trade packages.

Assist in recruiting new vendors and trade partners.

Maintain accurate bids.

Ensure contracts are complete and accurate prior to new community starts.

Create and revise purchase orders in construction software for new starts and changes.

Analyze purchase orders on job start report and revise when necessary.

Assist with setup of new plans, options, communities, takeoffs and colors.

Maintain trade partner contact list.

Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, business, or related field preferred

New home construction experience preferred
