Borusan Pipe US Inc (Baytown, TX) is hiring SRM CCR (Central Control Room) Operator (SRMCC001780) to perform the functions of producing SRM pipe in accordance with the ASTM-API, plant policies and procedures. Ensure a safe and compliant operation during shift. Load the required stand combinations into the SRM machine at changeover time. Follow-up on the preparation of the stands in accordance with the work order. Manage the SRM and Cooling Bed process and lead the other stations as needed. Load and unload stands into SRM machine. Set up correct parameters of SRM, Rotary Saw, Furnace, Pipe Mill Speed and Cooling Bed slapping time. Ensure all workstations are ready for SRM machine operation. Ensure that cooling bed operator is ready to take samples to check the production parameters. Monitor for ovality, pipe sizes, OD, ID scarfs and perform pipe inspection. Inspect and ensure that the SRM gearbox is properly serviced before starting up and during shift. Assist in repair and replacement of equipment during maintenance shutdowns. Operate Overhead Crane.
Position requires a High school diploma/GED, Crane Operator Certification, and 2 years of experience as an SRM CCR Operator or related occupation. Position also requires 2 years of experience with Cooling bed operation experience; Operating induction coil SRM machinery and rotary saw; Operating measuring devices such as: calipers, micrometers, and ovality gauges; Knowledge of SRM Manufacturing processes, procedures, and quality conditions; Plasma cutting and mechanics knowledge; Thermal material specification and base heat treatment process formation.
