Hiring Heavy Equipment Operator

KJ Pratt Excavation and Logging LLC is a small business in Richmond, VT. We are professional, fast-paced and challenging.

We are looking for an experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy machinery and equipment, performing daily maintenance checks, and ensuring the safe operation of all equipment. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Operate heavy machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any issues.
Follow safety protocols and use proper safety equipment when operating machinery.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
Communicate with other personnel to coordinate activities on the job site.
Maintain records of work completed and materials used.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Richmond, VT: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience: 2 year plus

Heavy equipment operation: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:

CDL A (Preferred)
