salary: $67,808 - $83,200 per year
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities

  • Install and Maintain Electrical Systems: You’ll wire, assemble, and set up industrial equipment and fixtures using tools, ensuring everything is safe and up to code.
  • Troubleshoot & Diagnose Problems: When equipment breaks down, you’ll figure out what’s wrong using tools like voltmeters and oscilloscopes, then fix it.
  • Compliance & Safety: You’ll inspect systems regularly to catch issues before they become problems, and ensure everything complies with electrical codes.
  • Work from Blueprints: You’ll use drawings and layouts to plan and install systems accurately.
  • Train Others: You’ll mentor apprentices or less experienced electricians.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Regularly check and service equipment to prevent breakdowns.
  • Work with Controls & PLCs: You’ll assist with programming or improving machine control systems, with guidance from engineers.
  • Work at Heights: You’ll often work on lifts, ladders, or rooftops.
