This company is focused on building software that enhances and supports the Firms investment process. The team includes software engineers, data scientists, and machine learning experts from diverse backgrounds and experience levels. Our mission is to develop cutting-edge applications and data models that generate proprietary investment insights and empower our investment team with tools that elevate decision-making.

The company is located in NYC and the candidate will need to come 3 days onsite a week.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Develop responsive Progressive Web Applications (PWAs) using React (including Hooks) and Material UI.
• Design, build, and maintain modern RESTful APIs to power front-end applications and data services.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to build meaningful products and features that streamline the Firms core business operations.
• Contribute to shaping the engineering culture and practices, bringing forward ideas to enhance efficiency, automation, and quality.

Required Skills & Experience:

• A B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on software development experience with tangible contributions to projects.
• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and experience developing with React (Hooks and Context API preferred).
• Strong Python development skills: familiarity with Flask, Django, or FastAPI is a plus.
• Deep SQL knowledge, including experience designing schemas and working with ORMs.
• Experience working with modern cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Modern ETL frameworks such as Prefect, Airflow, Kafka, Spark, or PySpark.
• Elasticsearch and full-text search implementations.
• DevOps practices and tools that support CI/CD and cloud infrastructure management.
