Overview

Kimley-Horn's Pleasanton office is seeking a Project Manager/Structural Engineer with 6+ years of experience to join their Building Structures team. This position is in-person/in-office.

Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze structures, focusing on new buildings, rehabilitation and repair of existing buildings, PV systems, and site structures.
  • Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications using industry-standard software and tools.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop effective structural solutions that meet project requirements.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing structures and provide recommendations for modifications, repairs, and retrofits.
  • Perform structural analysis and modeling using advanced software tools to evaluate the behavior and performance of structures under various load conditions.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing technical expertise and guidance to project teams.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, codes, and standards related to vertical structures, and incorporate them into project designs.
  • Manage and oversee structural engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring all project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with project teams and ensure clear communication among all parties involved.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and handle any issues that may arise.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to clients and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and client requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • 6+ years experience with a civil engineering design firm
  • Bachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software, such as Risa, RAM, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present technical information to clients.
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality work.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred

Base Salary Range:

$125,000 - $155,000
