Hired candidate will be placed into appropriate level of career ladder based on years of experience, education, and leadership discretion.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the safe operation and maintenance of the hospital's electrical systems and equipment including generators, fire alarm, overhead paging system and nurse call.
  • Inspect and test lighting, signal communication, control and power circuits and equipment.
  • Install new wiring and electrical machinery.
  • Isolate and repair/replace defective wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment.
  • Maintain clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas.
  • Operate and maintain switchgear and electrical machinery.
  • Perform all work following infection control procedures.
  • Record personal work orders and submit hours to supervisor in a daily basis.
  • Repair and/or install conduit, fittings, motors, generators transformers, electrical wiring and a variety of appliances and hospital equipment.
