Job Description:Mountain Gateway Community College ( MGCC ) is a two-year public institution of higher education and one of 23 community colleges in Virginia. The college is supported by the Commonwealth of Virginia; the counties of Alleghany, Bath, Botetourt (northern portion) and Rockbridge; the cities of Buena Vista, Covington, and Lexington; and the town of Clifton Forge. We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Industrial Maintenance Mechanics Instructor to deliver engaging, industry-relevant training to students. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in industrial maintenance, hold NCCER certifications, and have experience in teaching or training environments.

While formal certifications are important, we also highly value hands-on trade experience and the ability to obtain NCCER instructor credentials. If candidates meet these criteria and are interested in further advancing their teaching credentials, we encourage all qualified applicants to submit an application to this opening.

Special Assignments:

May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

KSA's/Required Qualifications:

• Extensive Industrial Maintenance industry experience
• Proven industry experience in Industrial Maintenance with a strong understanding of current practices and safety standards
• NCCER Certification in Industrial Maintenance or related trade
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop engaging lesson plans and assessments
