A full-service Structural Steel Fabricator and Erector located in the DFW is seeking a Safety Director experienced with commercial steel fabrication, erection and craning projects. They fabricate and install structural steel for the commercial construction and are proud of their injury-free culture. Safety experience neeeded include CHST and ASP or CSP accreditations.

Qualifications for Safety Director:

  • 5+ years of experience in the structural steel industry
  • Project Experience on Heavy Steel Construction +5,000 Tons
  • Knowledge of current AISC structural codes and standards
  • Experience with OCIP programs
  • Construction Health and Safety Technician
  • Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional

Responsibilities for Safety Director:

  • Oversee and implement safety programs and policies on construction sites
  • Train and educate employees on safety procedures and protocols
  • Working with insurance companies
  • Assisting in legal matters in regards to safety
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and assist with inspections and compliance requirements

Safety Director Job Functions:

  • Communicate and coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure safety measures are properly implemented and maintained
  • Maintain records and documentation of safety programs, training, inspections, and incidents
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
  • Investigate and report workplace accidents or incidents, and develop plans to prevent future occurrences

Compensation/Benefits for Structural Steel Estimator:

  • Base: $120,000 - $140,000+
