Heavy Equipment Operator

We are in need of experienced Heavy Equipment Operators who are capable of operating large equipment (i.e., excavators, loaders, and dozers).

The Heavy Equipment Operator safely operates a variety of equipment used in the construction, maintenance and repair of large site jobs.

Heavy Equipment Operator Essential Functions:

Must keep building and/or assigned areas of jobsite clean and organized as necessary to maintain a safe and productive working environment.
Follows daily procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.
Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or needed repairs to the supervisor; cleans equipment.
Assists in training new employees performing the maintenance and repair duties as required or assigned
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Competencies

Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce Safety procedures
Ability to travel as needed (typically less than 10% of the time)
4 years or greater experience with effectively operating heavy construction equipment
Willing to work outside in all types of weather
Ability to work extended or overtime hours as needed
In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines
Must have a valid drivers license
Works well as part of a team.
