Electrical Engineer Industrial Automation

Were seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of hardware systems for advanced industrial automation solutions. This senior -level role involves full ownership of circuit and system design, from concept to production deployment. Youll be instrumental in shaping product architecture, driving innovation, and ensuring the reliability of complex electronic assemblies. This position is ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives in collaboration and enjoys tackling challenging technical problems.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electronic systems for industrial control environments.
  • Create detailed schematics and PCB layouts, ensuring reliability and manufacturability.
  • Build, test, and validate prototypes; troubleshoot issues across development stages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners for seamless product development.
  • Support production and field operations through diagnostics and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including specifications, test protocols, and change records.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, design reviews, and mentor junior engineers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in circuit and system-level hardware design.
  • Expertise in analog/digital/power electronics and embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in schematic and PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD).
  • Knowledge of communication interfaces: SPI, I2C, RS-485, Ethernet, CAN.
  • Understanding of EMC/ESD, thermal management, and environmental constraints.
  • Experience with lab instruments (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power meters).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a detail-oriented, proactive mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with semiconductor manufacturing equipment or regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with control systems (safety, motion, temperature regulation).
  • Competence with simulation tools (SPICE, HyperLynx) for signal and power integrity.
  • Knowledge of EtherCAT networks and components.
  • Exposure to FPGA development (Verilog/VHDL) and optimization workflows.
  • Embedded programming skills (C/C++, Python).
  • Awareness of compliance standards (CE, UL, SEMI, IEC).
  • Understanding of systems engineering methodologies.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $155000.00/yr.
