Abode, one of the largest and effective nonprofits working to end homelessness in the Bay Area, is seeking a Jr Fiscal Contract Analyst for our programs in Alameda County.
About The Role : The Jr Fiscal Contract Analyst will support operational finance activities of several program areas and contracts. This position may include the development and review of monthly invoices submitted to our funders. The ideal candidate can support multiple business partners and balance changing needs and priorities.

How You Make An Impact :
- Review and approve purchase orders (POs) and/or invoices. Support program staff creating POs with accurate account codes and funding source eligibility.
- Review contracts and service agreements to understand billing requirements, funding source eligibility, and deliverables.
- Prepare invoices for various funders. This includes conducting research and validation of program spending and purchase orders (POs), performing various calculations, and compiling all supporting documentation.
- Navigate within the payroll, accounting, and other internal systems to extract necessary data for supportive documentation.
- Analyze and prepare monthly invoice accruals, journal entries stemming from invoice activity, and monitor and manage contract receivables.
- Other special projects and tasks as assigned.
How You Meet Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required and 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles.
- Experience with general ledger account analysis and research.
- Excellent computer skills in Excel, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro and SharePoint.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and produce high-quality products.
- Highly organized and extremely detail oriented.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with non-profit funding administration desirable.
- Experience with county and federal reimbursement processes a plus.
