Maintenance Mechanic – Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic Systems (Perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair work in a fast-paced industrial facility.) Location: Harvey, IL Shift: 1st Shift Pay: $33+/hr DOE

Role Summary: Randstad USA is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join a specialty lubricants manufacturer in Harvey, IL. This position is ideal for someone with a strong electrical background, experience in automation systems, and a mechanical aptitude to maintain and troubleshoot equipment, utilities, and plant systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance; Technical school certification is a plus.
• strong proficiency in electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and PLC troubleshooting.
• Ability to read blueprints, ladder diagrams, and mechanical cross-section drawings.
• Hands-on welding, fabrication, and piping skills.
• strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance and corrective repairs across the facility.
• Troubleshoot and replace motor starters, relays, fuses, actuated valves, and instrumentation.
• Maintain and repair 3-phase/1-phase equipment including pumps, agitators, compressors, packaging lines.
• Work with PLC-controlled systems and warehouse automation tools (ASRS/Savannah).
• Perform electrical tasks like wiring motors, drives, and lighting.
• Support safe operation of systems including boilers, elevators, fire protection, etc.
• Fabricate, weld, and assemble piping and mechanical systems as needed.
• Repair and maintain mobile equipment like forklifts and pallet lifts.
• Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.

The essential functions of this role include:
