People Ready Skilled Trades now has an office in Columbus and is ready to hire! We are looking for Carpenter/ Joiner for projects in, Cincinnati and the surrounding areas.

Note: The hourly rate for this position is $30 - $33 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.

Responsibilities:

  • Building Structures Construct and install building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes.
  • Installing Fixtures: Install windows, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim, and other metal or wood fixture

Qualifications:

  • Hand and Power Tool Proficiency: Experience with tools like saws, drills, sanders, and nail guns, as well as hand tools specific to metalworking.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to understand and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Metalworking Knowledge: Familiarity with different types of metal, their properties, and how they are used in construction or fabrication.
  • Joinery and Fabrication Skills: Proficiency in joining metal pieces, cutting, bending, and shaping metal materials.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues that arise during the construction or fabrication process.
  • Physical Endurance: The ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and the ability to ensure accurate and precise work.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, team members, and clients.
  • Math Skills: Basic math skills for measuring, calculating, and estimating material
