Structural Drafter - Janus

Overview

Responsible for all structural drafting work for Janus buildings.

Responsibilities

• Review blue prints, construction details, and sales contract in order to produce accurate construction documents and bills of material.
• Must understand and interpret model building codes for projects design.
• Manage many projects at one time.
• Perform structural analysis and provide design for mini storage cold-formed steel buildings.
• Assist drafting, manufacturing, quality and planning as required.
• Handle all changes and problems related to product assigned.
• Perform technical duties for the company, both internal and external customers.
• Responsible for the entire product life cycle.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, related field.
• Five years previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
• Construction background. Knowledge of how to read construction drawings.
• Knowledge of Drafting and Dimensioning principles.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, alone and in teams.
• Strong Project Management experience.
• Practical Knowledge of hand tools and construction methods.
• Proficient computer skills required; Outlook email, Word, Excel, Visio (preferred).
