As the Stress Analyst Staff you will be responsible for performing preliminary and detailed level stress analysis of missile flight structures and mechanisms, electronic components, and ground support equipment using standardized processes and tools. You will work in a multi-disciplined team environment to help with structural design trades and preliminary and detailed design/analysis activity.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Lead structural analyses for missile and spacecraft flight hardware.

Performing stress analysis and providing technical mentorship to less experienced stress analysts and actively support knowledge transfer.

Generating stress analysis technical memorandums and reports to support data packages, peer reviews, and external customer reviews

Preparing technical charts and represent the organization in design reviews and outside contracts

Supporting structural load test definition, requirements development, monitoring, data reduction, and comparison to analysis effort

Collaborating with design engineers in developing the most practical design, and selection of materials for primary and secondary structures with adequate structural margins of safety, good load paths, low weight, and high producibility. Experience with NX/Nastran, Abaqus finite element modeling or equivalent

Ability to apply new and advanced analytical techniques necessary to perform structural analysis

Knowledge of and applicable experience with spacecraft or aircraft structural analysis methods, including classical hand calculations and experience with mechanical joints

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, must be a US Citizen A bachelors degree in mechanical, aerospace engineering, or related field

A related Master's degree is strongly preferred for this position

Non-linear, fracture& fatigue, and buckling analysis experience

Mechanisms, antenna, electronic component, ground support, hoisting, and test support equipment, and composite materials analysis experience

Static, vibration, acoustic, modal, shock test experience of aerospace flight hardware

Experience with additive manufacturing

Ability and desire to assume ownership of tasks and drive to closure quickly and efficiently

Creativity/innovation to tackle issues related to anomalous performance of any aspect of a mechanical system

Ability to work in a collaborative and highly integrated team environment
