HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer (25 Years Experience)

We are a dynamic A/E firm with offices in NYC and PA, specializing in a wide range of project types including commercial, industrial, and healthcare.

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing team in Midtown Manhattan.

As a Mechanical Engineer , you will be responsible for the design and analysis of HVAC systems for diverse building types.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, code-compliant mechanical solutions for mission-critical and healthcare projects.

Location : Midtown Manhattan, NY (4 days in-office, Fridays remote)

Salary : $75,000 $90,000

Employment Type : Full-Time

Key Responsibilities :

• Design mechanical systems including heating, cooling, ventilation, air and hydronic distribution, and building automation and controls.
• Perform system design calculations and evaluate mechanical system options using industry-standard engineering and energy modeling software.
• Prepare comprehensive design documentation including basis of design reports, Revit drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and standards.
• Review design deliverables for technical accuracy and presentation quality.
• Coordinate with architects and engineers across disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Civil, etc.)
• 25 years of experience as an HVAC Design Engineer
• Proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD MEP
• Experience with commercial, industrial, and healthcare projects (residential-only or commercial fit-out-only experience will not be considered)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $55.00/hr.
