New hire experience:
1% of the base hourly rate granted for each year of verified like experience (within ten years) beyond the requirement, up to a ten -year maximum
New hire education:
1% of the base hourly rate awarded for an AA or higher degree if not required for the position

OVERVIEW:
To provide maintenance and repair on all types of medium and low temp equipment including all commercial kitchen equipment in a competent and timely manner to ensure successful operation of equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School education or equivalent
- Valid, or ability to obtain, Arizona driver’s license
- Minimum four years refrigeration experience in medium and low temp; minimum two years mechanical training and trade related schooling
- Certificate of successful completion of an EPA approved course in ‘Proper Refrigerant Usage’ Type I and Type II
- Knowledge of health and safety code requirements
- Working knowledge of blueprints, diagrams and schematics
- Working knowledge of numerous medium and low temp refrigerants as per industry standard
- Working knowledge of plumbing, steam and electric trades and trade related tools, materials and application
- Computer proficiency to include use of basic software applications (Word, Excel, etc)
- Ability to lift and/or to move 100 pounds; to work from ladders and lifts up to 40 feet
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and to establish and to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships
- Ability to work overtime and to change schedules with minimal notice; willingness to work non-regular hours (weekends, night shift, swing shift, holidays)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working from a written work order, perform troubleshooting and repair tasks on all types of medium and low temp equipment including commercial kitchen equipment
- Interface with kitchen personnel to keep them properly informed of equipment status
- Interface with immediate supervisor (s) to keep them apprised of work order status
- Process work orders and paperwork appropriately and in a timely manner
- Regular and on-time attendance required
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Keep service vehicle clean, orderly and stocked with parts and supplies
- Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities

Cafeteria Lead Technician
Prior to employment or during the first 3 months of new hire probationary period, drug and alcohol testing shall be required of all new contract employees who work in Transportation. Any applicants having a confirmed positive test shall not be eligible for employment.
