Starting pay is $19.16 Work schedule for this position is Saturday-Sunday, 7:00am-5:00pm. POSITION OBJECTIVE: To keep a scheduled environmentally correct, safe, clean work area. While maintaining required housekeeping standards in plant assist supervisors and management with ad hoc tasks throughout the shift. Essential Functions: Empty trash cans at front of building and inside plant entrance. Check and maintain bottled water at water stations. (Make Gatorade fill Popsicles) Check and empty recycle centers at break room. Check and remove trash and recycle from around dock doors. Dispose broken wood/broken pallets/unwanted plywood from the yard to a recycle bin or dumpster Report unsafe storage areas to a Supervisor (leaning pallets, damaged walletc) To avoid slips and trips - oil spills or leaks from lift trucks should be clean immediately Place sharp objects in a proper safe container (blades/nails..etc) Check dumpster and trash compactor levels advise Supervisor when needing empty. Run sweeper in plant and clean out sweeper daily. Empty trash, remove damage, empty pallets and cardboard each shift. Check twice a shift trash cans at end of aisles throughout plant. Check twice a shift empty as needed MRM satellite locations. Walk aisles and bulk zones picking up trash, empty pallets, damage and dispose properly. Maintain MRM Area (Bale and band as needed). Fill out checklist and turn in to Supervisor end of shift. Pass on incomplete task info to following shift. Load out scrap pallets, cardboard, and plastic on designated trailer (check each shift). Maintain gas for lift trucks when needed. Sweep out turret aisles once a week. Run floor scrubber twice a week. Load out recycle cans and bottles as needed. Help clean up non-conformance areas as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by Manager Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit on lift truck for the entire shift. Must be able to Mount/Dismount lift truck on an average 15 times per hour while using three points of contact Must be able to work in a warehouse environment which may be quite warm or cool. Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs., up to 20 times an hour for 8 hours. Safety/Training Requirements: Must complete Lift Truck Operator training program Must complete all SAFE required training, quality training and/or other job-related training Must wear required PPE Must understand and follow traffic flow for safe operation Observe/Obey all distribution safety rulesRequired Competencies
