Job Title: Senior Estimator - Transportation
Job Location: Mid-Atlantic Region (Baltimore-Norfolk area) with travel to Chicago, IL Headquarters
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $130,000 - $190,000 annually (plus potential vehicle allowance and bonus)

About the Role
The Senior Estimator - Transportation will support infrastructure projects with a focus on electrical scopes for railroads, airports, and highways. This role is responsible for leading bid preparation, coordinating estimating resources, and developing strategies to secure new work. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and requirements
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and material pricing
- Understand project logistics, schedules, and applicable construction codes
- Develop and execute competitive bid strategies
- Manage estimating resources and bid/proposal schedules
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across regions
- Support project turnovers and bid reviews in Baltimore-Norfolk and Chicago, IL
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field; or equivalent Union trade background
- 5+ years of experience in construction estimating
- Experience in transportation infrastructure (highways, railroads, airports) preferred
- Proficiency in Bluebeam and Microsoft Excel preferred
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel as needed
