PLUMBER

Job Summary:
Assembles, installs and repair pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water and drainage systems.

General Accountabilities:
* Knowledge and ability to read blueprints.
* Must be able to assemble, install and repair pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating water and drainage systems.
* Inspect Structure to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure results from pipe installation.
* Locates and marks position of pipe and pipe connections and passage holes for pipes.
* Cuts openings in walls and floors, as needed to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
* Cuts and threads pipe.
* Bends pipe to required angles.
* Assembles and installs valves, pipe fittings and pipes.
* Joins pipes by use of screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulks joints.
* Fills pipe system with water or air and reads pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking.
* Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures.
* Repairs and maintains plumbing by replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending pipes, and opening clogged drains.

Job Qualifications:
* Experience: 3 - 5 years

Physical Demands:
* Frequently required to bend, lift or climb
* Occasionally required to lift moderated weights (25 - 50 pounds)

* Exposure to precarious places
