Position Overview: A leading civil engineering consultancy, is seeking Project Engineers at multiple experience levels to support the design and development of water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects. This position offers the opportunity to work across design, fieldwork, and project coordination while collaborating with seasoned engineering professionals.

This is an excellent role for licensed Professional Engineers (PE) who are looking to deepen their technical experience while contributing to high-impact municipal and environmental projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and perform design-level engineering tasks for projects involving plans, surveys, and investigations.

  • Direct and coordinate design revisions on major engineering assignments.

  • Support the development of proposals, contract drawings, specs, reports, and studies.

  • Formulate design criteria and solutions for assigned projects.

  • Conduct fieldwork and travel to job sites for project verification and construction support.

  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, CAD Modelers, and clients to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Manage project team workloads and coordinate resource assignments.

  • Investigate design alternatives and resolve conflicting requirements or material suitability.

  • Plan, conduct, and evaluate pilot studies and field tests.

  • Prepare reports recommending improvements to infrastructure and treatment facilities.

  • Train and mentor junior engineers and CAD team members.

  • Recommend equipment and materials for engineering solutions.

  • May serve in Construction Services or Specialist roles as required.

  • Participate in other assignments as directed by leadership.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong grasp of engineering principles, codes, and design best practices.

  • Ability to gather and interpret field data for project planning.

  • Proficient in technical design preparation and drawing development.

  • Effective problem-solving skills with practical, field-tested solutions.

  • CAD or Revit design experience is a plus.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Capable of working independently and balancing multiple project demands.

  • Professional demeanor with the ability to work across diverse teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited).

  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license (active or able to obtain).

  • Minimum 5 years of professional engineering experience (level dependent).

  • Commitment to ongoing professional education to maintain PE status.

  • Valid driver s license and access to personal transportation.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally to job sites.
